ANIT-BACK STAINING (ABS)
Anti-back staining agents are vital in textile processing, particularly in denim production, to prevent indigo dye from redepositing onto
the fabric during subsequent washing or processing stages. This redeposition, known as back staining, can result in undesirable coloration and
streaking, compromising the quality of the finished textile.
The application of anti-back staining agents involves incorporating them into the processing baths, typically during rinsing or washing stages.
These agents contain surfactants or complexing agents that effectively solubilize or disperse any indigo particles released from the fabric
during washing. By keeping these particles in suspension, anti-back staining agents prevent them from reattaching to the fabric and causing
back staining.
